Miss Deborah House is the Interim Headteacher at St Michael Abbey School.

Having had the privilege of designing the school’s curriculum from its inception, she now leads its implementation.

This unique position allows her to bring together her passion for teaching, belief in holistic education and determination to ensure every student at St Michael Abbey School achieves their full potential.

Before entering education, Miss House served for nearly twenty years in the Royal Air Force, where she operated as a navigator during both the Afghanistan conflict and Gulf II. The leadership and management experience she gained as a Squadron Leader, together with her later specialism in mathematics education, have equipped her with the skills to lead with clarity, compassion and high expectations. Miss House believes in fostering an environment where teamwork, respect and resilience underpin all aspects of school life.
