After arriving in the capital, the group made the most of the spring sunshine with lunch on the steps of Trafalgar Square before exploring an impressive range of world‑class galleries. Students immersed themselves in masterpieces at The National Gallery, discovered iconic portraits at The National Portrait Gallery and experienced contemporary works at Tate Modern.
A scenic walk along the Thames then led them past The Globe, perfectly timed to mark Shakespeare Week, while taking in some of London’s most recognisable landmarks.
In the evening, the excitement continued as the group attended a spectacular performance of Hercules, a show that left everyone buzzing long after the final curtain.
The following day, students navigated the tube once more to visit both The British Museum and the Natural History Museum, rounding off their cultural exploration before beginning the journey home.
Throughout the trip, students were exemplary in conduct and proved themselves fantastic ambassadors for the school; embracing every opportunity to learn, discover and represent St Michael Abbey School with pride.
