Student crowned West Midlands U18 Women’s Champion

St Michael Abbey School is celebrating the outstanding success of Year 11 student Emily‑Grace, who delivered an impressive performance at the West Midlands and Worcester County Indoor Shoot last Saturday.

Emily‑Grace made a strong start in the opening half of the competition and despite a slight dip in the second half, demonstrated remarkable composure and mental resilience. Her determination paid off as she secured the title of West Midlands U18 Women’s Champion.

Not resting on her achievements, she returned to training the very next day for a productive session with her coach. She now turns her attention to the upcoming outdoor season, where she will make her 60‑metre debut as an U18 archer.

With such a promising trajectory, the school community is eagerly watching to see what Emily‑Grace accomplishes next.

The dedicated Physical Education and Sports Science courses at St Michael Abbey School supports students in developing their athletic skills, resilience and understanding of sport, complementing the personalised learning they receive across the school.
